SOLD! The 3x7 hub, brifters and derailleur are still for sale. $200 or best offer.

This is the one with the Cantilever Beam instead of the usual top tube-seat tube diamond frame. You get a soft ride on little wheels. The frame is suitable for conversion to a multi-speed touring bike.

Also 3x7 parts available for multi-speed conversion. Pictures by request.

THE MEASUREMENTS
Ctr Bottom Bracket to Ctr Seat Post Bracket: 55cm, 21.5 in (=Seat Tube)
Ctr Head Tube to Ctr Seat Tube: 56cm, 22 in (=Top Tube)
Ctr Handle Bar to Ctr Seat Post: 66cm, 26 in

I am 5ft 11in tall with a 31in trouser inseam and usually ride a 56cm bike. If you ride a 56 to 58, this bike will probably fit you.

THE STORY
When I bought this bike from Bike Friday in 2000 it was a standard Air Friday touring bike with 21 gears using a SRAM 3x7 instead of a front derailleur. The frame has all of the hangers, stops and bosses necessary for a standard multi-gear touring bike, including those for a clamp-on front derailleur, rear derailleur, and front and rear racks.

After a few years, I decided the set-up was too complicated for the short-range workouts I was using it for on business trips, and I had Bike Friday make me a single speed rear wheel. It is easier to pack and unpack and perfect for getting a little outdoor exercise in the cities and resorts. These days I don’t travel as much and I have other bikes to ride. I use it mostly as a “Townie.” It has less than 2,000 miles on it.

THE DEAL
You can have it as is, as a single speed, or you can have the SRAM 3x7 version unassembled. I still have all the parts, including Shimano RSX brifters. Either way, $1100. Both ways $1200. Plus shipping. Paypal preferred.
